We brought our own magazines in the media lesson, to lean how the proper magazine did, get some idea to design our front cover. I chose gossip magazine, because they got a lot attractive images and tattle to catch our attention. The colour was colourful and the masthead was easy to remember.

This maganize masthead has used sans-serif to show the title. The front cover has used lots of attractive pictures such as the snake with a girl and dinsouar. This maganize has a lot of science fiction, music, games and films. They have been update recently. It gives the teenager keep in touch with the news of the new things.

This school magazine front cover make by other people in the Internet. It was attracting me to read through this magazine, because in the cover had a lot of interesting title and colourful, easy to remember the masthead (life), background they edited the studies dress up formally ready to the part (having fun), fit their title to talk about.

In the lesson we reference another magazine. Top Gear is different than the gossip magazine, because this is car magazine and link to the TV programme. They have BBC institution on the top of the magazine and use new, fastest car in the front cover. In the masthead they used sans-serif make the magazine looking formal.

This is my draft for my front cover. I follow my mind map to edit all the image, this is my first idea, maybe have lot of change or maybe not, depend on the opinion from the reader/teacher.
I didn't edit colours and masthead, because i need to find more research from other magazines.

This is my mind map, help me to plain what i need to edit in for my front cover.
First i need to find out my target audience, i would like to aim for teenage because it was a big market to sale my school/college magazine and it's easy to research people opinion.
Then i will create my cover line and cover photo.
After that i will edit five strap line like Art, sports, music, prefect and activities, all about the studies school life.
At the last i will edit some colours in front cover.

School magazine is aimed at providing readers with useful information about tertiary and further education. School Magazine also provides an engaging mix of diverse literary genres, including stories, poems, plays, nonfiction articles, crosswords, cartoons, puzzles and activities.
In my front cover i would like to edit those information (entertainment/lifestyle), find someone popular in school, talk about the news, show school activities etc......
First i will plan what i need to edit for my front cover. Research some information in Internet look at other people work, to get some idea. I will use questionnaire to find out different peoples opinion on magazines for research to help me design and make a school magazine myself.
